♥About the PMD♥
So you're probably looking at this, and you're like.."What is this crazy looking thing?!" Well, you curious little kitten, it's a personal microderm system. Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive form of exfoliation and mild skin resurfacing that removes the dead skin cells from the Stratum Corneum, the outer most layer of the skin. The Stratum Corneum is the layer of the skin affected by fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes, acne, and scaring. The concentrated microdermabrasion treatment exfoliates this skin layer to break apart these common imperfections. This then triggers the body’s healing mechanisms, causing the removed dead skin cells to be rapidly replaced with healthy, new ones. Which basically means, you use this and it scrubs your dead skin cells off and it creates new ones. During that process any discoloration, scarring, wrinkles, and acne will go away! You can pay to get these treatments done and they run SUPER expensive. Prior to getting the PMD I was actually planning on paying 300 for ONE session. Crazy right?!
Well, anyways. My reasoning behind getting this is that I have acne scaring. Its pretty bad (in my opinion) and I do get break outs every once in a while. But i'm so happy the company sent me one! It really did change my life. I've used my PMD about five times now and the results are AMAZING! Not only has it faded my acne scars at a crazy rate but my skin looks and feels more healthy. I have also stopped breaking out. At first I was really skeptical that just removing your dead skin would have this much of a effect but it really does! In just ONE use I noticed a difference. If you have troublesome skin, acne scars, wrinkes, or uneven skin I 100% recommend the PMD system.
♥How to use the PMD♥
I was a little scared to use it at first, because lets be honest, it does look a little intimidating! So i'm going to tell you guys how to use it in a couple of simple steps.
When you get the system in the mail its going to come with everything showed in the photo above, plus a cord to plug it in! It comes with a white disk thats already inside the PMD. Don't take it out! it is HIGHLY advisable to begin with that white disk. Its called the training disk. It's very gentle so it will give you an idea of what it feels like, and how your skin will react. The different colored disks are different levels. The blue disk is for sensitive skin. The green disk is for medium strength abrasion. The red disk is for maximum strength abrasion. It's a really good idea to work up to whichever disk you want to use. This is a once a week type of thing so I wouldn't recommend you to do it more than once a week because your skin needs time to heal!
